Superior was contracted to install the extensive growing media for the Target Center Green Roof in the Summer of 2009. Towering at approximately 170 vertical feet from Superior’s point of access, this project is the tallest building Superior has conquered to date.
As every green roof is unique in its own nature, the Target Center Green Roof had its share of unique aspects. Superior was limited to one access point for the duration of the project, therefore at times more than 520 feet of hose was required (Including Rise & Run) to reach various points of the roof surface. Work hours were restricted each day, and the loading zone was offsite, causing the crew to deal with Minneapolis traffic to and from the load zone. Overall, Superior achieved great production rates and completed the project safely and efficiently!
