Superior Groundcover produces a product called “Featherwood.”™ The material is a State Certified Playground Chip that has passed all necessary testing in the state of Michigan. It is produced from virgin wood, resulting in the cleanest wood product available.Featherwood™ meets or exceeds the following ASTM standards.
• ASTM F1292-04(Impact Attenuation of Surface Systems under and around Playground Equipment.
• ASTM F2075-04 (Specification for Engineered Wood Fiber for use as a Playground Safety Surface under and around playground equipment.
• ASTM F1951-04 (Method to Test Accessibility of the Safety Surfacing)
• ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)
• CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission)
Superior Groundcover Inc. operates 6 Express Blower Trucks that pneumatically places the material to the desired location. If you choose to install the material yourself, we also offer a Delivery Only option.
